Wendy Burgess is a native Texan with deep roots in the Lone Star State and has been a proud resident of Tarrant County for over forty years.
Burgess has run multiple businesses, been a consultant, and ran an IT firm. In addition to her extensive work experience, she has been committed to community service through many avenues, including Rotary Club, Mansfield City Council Member, and as the Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector. Wendy holds professional designations as a Professional County Collector (PCC), County Tax Office Professional (CTOP), Professional County Assessor-Collector (PCAC), and Certified School Tax Assessor (CSTA).
In 2024, Wendy Burgess was popularly elected by the Taxing Entities to continue service as the most senior member of the TAD Board of Directors.
